Welcome to the Athabasca and District Music Festival Website
Dear Participants, Parents, Teachers and Volunteers,
Due to concerns of the novel coronavirus, the Athabasca and District Music Festival Association (ADMFA) Board has decided to cancel this year's Festival. Given the uncertainty of the immediate future, we are not planning to reschedule.
I was greatly looking forward to hearing all your pieces being performed, seeing you encouraged by professional adjudicators, and having some of you go on to provincials, so it is with great regret that I write this e-mail. The ADMFA still strongly believes in supporting and building up young artists in our community and we look forward to seeing you all in the 2021 Festival Season.
Regarding participant registration fees, we will follow up with an additional e-mail by Friday with regard to the possibility of refunds. A number of expenses to run the festival have already been incurred and we have entered into contracts with our adjudicators. As a non-profit organization, we need to determine what our final costs are for the year and to what degree we are able to offer refunds.
Sincerely,
Melissa Law
